Starting from a modest operation on Jl. Songoyudan, Surabaya, SUPA steadily expanded into the Rungkut Industrial Area. This marked the beginning of SUPA’s journey as a forward-looking spice manufacturer and food ingredients company with national roots and global ambitions.
In 2006, SUPA entered a new era of growth through the acquisition of its first warehouse in Sinar Gedangan, Sidoarjo, East Java. This strategic investment became a turning point that accelerated SUPA’s transformation from a local enterprise into an industrial-scale operation. From a single warehouse, SUPA evolved into an integrated network of warehouses and production facilities, strengthening its supply chain and operational excellence. This expansion positioned SUPA as an emerging leader in Indonesia’s spice industry.
Mr S.Kris has been part of Supa’s journey since 1999, but was cast in several roles learning the Spices trade in Madagascar, Mauritius, Dubai and Singapore. In 2011, Mr. Supa’s eldest son, S. Kris, was entrusted with a clear vision to transform the company into a world-class spice manufacturer and food ingredients company with High Food Safety certification. Under his leadership, SUPA implemented major improvements in management systems, production processes, and quality control. These initiatives strengthened operational efficiency and enhanced food safety standards across the organization.
As a result, SUPA successfully achieved ISO 22000 certification, marking its evolution into a professionally managed, internationally oriented food ingredients manufacturer that meets global quality and food safety standards. The year 2014 marked a defining milestone in SUPA’s journey, as the company officially transitioned from fundamental Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to an ISO 22000-certified operation. This achievement strengthened SUPA’s position as a trusted spice manufacturer and food ingredients company in Indonesia, demonstrating its readiness to meet international quality and food safety standards.
This milestone reflected SUPA’s strong commitment to quality assurance, food safety, and continuous improvement. In 2016, Mr Supa had already handed over the running of the company to Mr S.Kris. The transistion proved our founder’s trust in the leadership and the continuity of the company.
In 2017, SUPA achieved FSSC 22000 certification, one of the most prestigious and globally recognized standards for food safety management systems. This milestone marked SUPA’s commitment to implementing world-class food safety practices and strengthening its position as a reliable spice manufacturer and food ingredients company in Indonesia.
